A Community Rock Orchestra
in Carroll County,
Maryland
Welcome!

The JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra is a program within
the Freedom Area Recreation
Council in Carroll County, Maryland. Area music students work with adult
mentors under the musical leadership of Joey Dundore. Together, they refine an
ambitious set of songs as they prepare for live shows to benefit charitable
causes.
The program is organized into three four-month
sessions running from January-April, May-August, and September-December. During
these sessions, students earn Volunteer Service Learning
Hours for all rehearsals, concerts, and other orchestra-related
activities. Auditions are open for 6-12th graders and all instruments. Don't
play an instrument? No problem! We also have openings on our Sound and
Lighting crew.
Since beginning in the Fall of 2010, we have donated
time and talent to:
